Thinking About the Winter Holidays

I don't want to talk about the Winter Holidays too much before we get through the Autumn ones. I mean I still have many Turkey-ish things to do, I am not saying i am a turkey, well maybe I am, but that is not my point.

I thought I might share some holiday ideas with you, and ask for your participation. Let me know which ones you like, which ones you can participate in, and if you have any others you would like to share here on the blog (with credit, of course :))

First of all printables, last year I did a printable-a-day from December 1-25, a sort of blog advent calendar. The last 12 days before Christmas were a "Twelve Day of Christmas" theme. There were also a lot of penguins if you want to go back and pick those up. This year I thought I would do something different and have a theme-a-week with print-ables for that them posted randomly throughout the week, I found it very difficult to post every day in December, so I do not want to commit myself to that. I thought the first week would be about organizing, and there would be planner pages, gift lists, that sort of thing. The second week would be about preparing, and would include printables such as cards, to/from tags and mini wrapping paper sheets. The third week would be about giving and sharing, and include ideas for sharing what you have this holiday season, as well as coloring pages and word searches to share with the children in your life. The last week we would just have an old-fashion holiday celebration, with surprises and guest bloggers. What do you think?

My second idea for the holidays comes down to finances. Whether you are trying to save, or just want to get more for your holiday budget, I thought it might be fun to list a few of my blog-readers who have items or services they are offering this season for a great price, hopefully we will get a few who are willing and able to barter. I will also be on the lookout for coupons, deals, free gift wrap offers and the like for you, listing them as I find them. How does that sound?

Finally, last year I had "gift idea" posts that included printable toys (memory games, cut-and-plays, patterns for felt objects), I thought I would do that again this year. Owls are still remain popular, so I thought I would include those. If there are themes you would like to see this year, please let me know.

If you can participate by guest blogging (I am looking for lovely, happy holiday stories, no matter the denomination), have a product or service you can barter or make a deal on, have ideas for themes, or something else you would like to share, please let me know.

Posts will be moderated, but please know I will be reading and posting them. We have been getting strange posts that have to do with things not related to the blog at all, that is why I started moderating.

Thank You So Much,
Tricia

PS don't worry I did not forget Thanksgiving ;)
